The Story of Dr. Raffy Smiggles
When driving up to our Main Office in Ocala, you will be warmly welcomed by our very own Dr. Raffy Smiggles, a well-respected Doctor loved by many – who just happens to be a Giraffe. Dr. Smiggles has graced our front entrance for many years now, and is a crowd favorite – helping many patients find our office by being such a terrific landmark.
When Dr. Smiggles first arrived to Premier Pediatrics after a long and difficult journey, he had lost his stethoscope, glasses, and even forgot his own name. So, we got him some new glasses and a shiny stethoscope, and we called on all of the children that come to our office and asked them to help Dr. Smiggles find his name. After many days of hard work and plenty of creative ideas, the name that was chosen was a combination of suggestions from two of our patients – Raffy, and Dr. Smiggles – and we just couldn’t pick one! Oh, and why Smiggles you ask? Smiles and giggles of course! Look at his face next time you drive in – you’ll see what we mean.
